Reason 2 of 10: Seize It Before It Sells Out

Part of my series: Everyone Told Me to Delete TikTok. I Refused. Here Are 10 Reasons Why.

It was an ordinary Tuesday morning. Scrolling TikTok before the day kicked in. And then —

A symphony orchestra playing Sandstorm at the Royal Albert Hall. People dancing. Jumping. Having the time of their lives. I showed my husband. He’d heard of it before and never mentioned it. I told him that was unacceptable.

It was the Ministry of Sound. Performed by a full orchestra. Music that was everywhere when I was young — 25 years ago. It brought back so many memories and so many giggles.

I needed to be there.

I checked tickets immediately. Just released. Almost sold out. So I did what any reasonable person would do — I messaged my friends before I could overthink it.

“I don’t know if you know what this is. But I need you to come with me.”

They said yes before they even knew what they were agreeing to. That’s friendship.

We’re going to London in June. The concert. Afternoon tea at The Ritz. A full weekend together. We’re already debating outfits. We’re calling it Rave and Ritz and I cannot wait.

After my own experience with illness, I made myself a quiet promise — stop waiting. Say yes faster. The tickets were sold out three days later.

Don’t wait. Just go.

Next week: Reason 3 of 10.
